Purpose of Social Media in the American Orchestra Field - Part 3 - Survey Analysis Continued

Figure 6 shows the types of Web 2.0 applications the orchestras indicated they were using.  As more than one answer was allowed, responses also showed that orchestras are using more than just one type of social media application.  Figure 7, below, details exact percentages and responder numbers. 

The responses indicate that 100% of the orchestras using social media all have Facebook pages.  Over 50% of all orchestras are also using Twitter and YouTube.  LinkedIn ranked fourth in number of users.  MySpace and Meetup.com were used by the least number of organizations.  Results also showed that while blogs may be growing in use throughout the world, they are not typical in the orchestral world.

At the time this survey was collected Pinterest was still in the creation stage.
