Purpose of Social Media in the American Orchestra Field - Part 3 - Survey Analysis Continued

Figure 14
On the site that you have the most followers / fans / friends, how many of your followers / fans / friends interact with your social media site in a week?  (Interacting includes: the “Like Button”, leaving comments, reposting / re-tweeting / forwarding, aka more than just visiting.)

Figure 14 shows how often orchestras indicated their fans are interacting with their social media sites while Figure 15, below, shows how often they would like to see people interact with their postings.  The percentage shifts between the above and proceeding indicates that in general more interaction is wanted from supporters.  Seventy-five percent of the responders would like 16 or more interactions a week.  Over 51% of the responders would like 51 or more interactions a week and 23% of the orchestras would like 251 interactions or more.  No orchestra indicated they wanted their followers / fans / friends to interact less than they do currently.  The survey did not ask why they would like more interactions.

Figure 15

While all orchestras want to see more responses from their followers, not all orchestras respond to them.  Three percent of orchestras never respond to the post of their friends / followers and 31% of orchestras only respond to some of their posts.
